Volunteering

The Canadian Conservation Photography Collective (CCPC) was formed in 2021 with the objective of promoting conservation and science education through the production of strong, thought-provoking visual content. The collective is composed of freelance photographers from across the country and from a wide variety of occupational training backgrounds including biology, education, journalism, social work and business. We firmly believe that networking as a team and combining our strengths and experience dramatically furthers our ability to shed light on pressing conservation issues and to reach, inform and engage a much wider audience.

The Project and Event Manager will be working with the Project and Event Assistant to plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of collective activities, such as online and in-person presentations, workshops, photography expeditions, and photography exhibitions. The Project and Event Manager will take the lead on coordinating and facilitating webinars, which includes introducing and interviewing presenters.

The successful candidate must have professional project and/or events management experience. They should also demonstrate exceptional communication, organization, and interpersonal skills as the role requires collaboration with the photographers, the collective management team, and organizations outside of the collective. Familiarity with photography and conservation issues is beneficial but not essential for this position.
