The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will also be able to work effectively with our development team and volunteers, as well as offer creative solutions to problems.
Responsibilities:
Recruit and retain volunteers.
Manage and develop the work of volunteers.
Oversee the daily operations of the volunteer program.
Analyze and evaluate program effectiveness.
Train and supervise volunteers.
Provide support to the Volunteer Committee Team.
Coordinate and manage volunteers for events, community events, fundraising events, community events/activities, and committees.
Attend meetings with other non-profit organizations.
Organize community committee meetings, and community activities.
Build and maintain a robust portfolio of 500
volunteers by coordinating and conducting recruitment, interviews, orientation, training, supervision, recognition and other engagement services as needed.
Work closely with supervisor to manage work plans, priorities, budgets, standards, organization and industry policies, compliance, evaluation, and communication strategies.
Develop, administer and maintain forms and records to document the volunteer activities.
Reach out to colleges and retain volunteers for community service involment.
Qualifications for volunteer coordinator:
Develop and implement a plan to monitor and evaluate the volunteer community programs, including a periodic re-evaluation of existing programs and establishment of new ones.
Maintain supervisory responsibilities for all volunteers/Fundraisiers.
Plans schedule for volunteer placements and changes of assignment as needed.
Minimum 1 year of professional experience working in a fundraising environment, preferably for a non-profit or charity.
Develop, administer and maintain forms and records to document the volunteer activities.
Prepare budget and reports for the volunteer program activities.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
