What you’ll be doing

Summary:

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Customer Service Volunteers. As a Customer Service Volunteer, you will play a vital role ensuring positive experiences. You will assist clients, families and visitors with inquires, provide information, and support Unionville Home Society’s mission. This volunteer position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to our community and develop valuable customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm and friendly greeting to clients, families, and visitors.
  • Direct families and visitors to the appropriate location or staff within         Unionville Home Society.
  • Engage with clients, families, staff , and visitors in a friendly            professional  manner, either in person or over the phone.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, take messages, and transfer calls to the appropriate staff or department.
  • Receive, sort and distribute mail and packages to clients
  • Support Customer Service Coordinator, by performing tasks such as  filing, photocopying, stocking, and other general office duties as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring it presents a professional and welcoming appearance
Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Ability to follow instructions with sound judgement, knowing when to seek help
Requirements:
  • Attend interview and volunteer orientation.
  • Completion of a Vulnerable Sector Police Check (if over the age of 18).
  • Completion of a 2-step Mantoux (tuberculosis) test.
  • 3 Doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
  • Volunteer consent form signed by parent/guardian if volunteer is under 18.
