Who We Are
iContribute is a volunteer platform that connects students to local volunteer opportunities. Our mission is to foster community involvement amongst the youth through a centralized app. We have already onboarded some of Ottawa’s largest non profit organizations such as the Ottawa Food Bank and the Ottawa Salvation Army, and 25 others! We are also working with local boards including the Ottawa Carleton District School Board, to pilot our app in local high schools as well.
As part of a startup environment, you will be working very closely with multiple different aspects of the team such as project management, design, and marketing. Lastly, despite things going virtual, at iContribute we still strive to offer a place to relax and bond together by offering optional board game nights and team socials if you ever need to relax!

Minimum Requirements
- Be available to work for September 2021- December 2021
- Be registered at a Canadian or American University/College in a relevant program
- English Proficiency
- Experience with graphic design programs such as: Adobe Illustrator, Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, etc (Figma is a plus)
- Strong communication and verbal skills in order to interact with teammates meetings
- Portfolio highlighting multiple projects and your direct contributions
Responsibilities
- Create relevant graphic design content to: complement our social media campaigns across various platforms, marketing emails, etc.
- Collaborate with a wide variety of people across the team (content designers, marketing team, product owners, etc.)
- Understand and uphold visual brand and style guidelines
- Effectively communicate and articulate design decisions to key stakeholders while also keeping your team updated on your progress
- Produce and deliver work in a timely fashion; meet deadlines as set by the project manager
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying brand and product principles to designs
- Designer work experience (internships, educational activities, etc.).
- Ability to act as a leader in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale, all within a user-centered design process
