Global Wholesale Operations (GWO) services institutional, corporate, commercial, and wealth clients, and Scotia’s Treasury group by processing securities, derivative and lending transactions. GWO helps meet business needs through efficient execution, managing risk, and complying with regulatory obligations throughout the client and trade lifecycles.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Provide operational support to the Global Banking & Markets business and best in class service to its clients
- Have an opportunity to gain hands-on learning experiencewithin the Operations trade lifecycle, in a global team
- Have an opportunity to be placed specifically in one of the following functional areas:
- Client Onboarding
- Settlements and Clearing
- Confirmations
- Asset Servicing, Middle Office, and Tax Operations
- Operations Control
- Corporate Credit Services
- Trade Finance Operations
- Operations Change
- Business and Performance Management
Do you have the skills and requirements that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if:
- You are currently enrolled in post-secondary education
- You love to learn and envision yourself working for an international organization that heavily invests in your future

- Demonstrated interest and knowledge in the financial markets
- Proven record of outstanding achievement in academic and extracurricular activities
