The intern, Environmental Coordinator will support the Project Leaders with environmental initiatives or projects that are ongoing today. Functions to include monitoring production processes, then gathering and documenting the information for final assessments. Interpretation of information to be able to recommend areas of improvement. Other functions can include reviewing bylaw regulations as well as developing online training documents to address environmental emergencies.

The Internship Program will begin on May 12th and end August 15th, 2025.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER…

  • Assist on verifying and updating P&ID (Tagging and labelling) for ammonia refrigeration systems
  • Review operations key indicators in regard to environmental performance, assist with tracking progress on wastewater use, wastewater surcharge costs, losses per kg transformed
  • Help maintain and organize the environmental SharePoint folders.

 

 

YOU ARE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU…

  • Are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Environmental studies, Engineering or related field) (Second or third year undergrad or first year Master students);
  • Are active in extracurricular activities on campus or in the community;
  • Have previous related internship experience (an asset);
  • Are detail-oriented, analytical, self-motivated and willing to take initiative;
  • Are not afraid to get acquainted with your team and business partners, quickly building relationships;
  • Experience in food manufacturing, health & safety (an asset);
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (Formulas, macros, power queries, etc.);
  • Master Office suite programs and applications;
  • Have strong time management and organizational skills: you will manage priorities and multiple projects at a time all while ensuring to meet deadlines.
