The Intern, Assistant Maintenance Coordinator will learn about maintenance planning and work with the Maintenance coordinator and maintenance supervisor to ensure that all preventive maintenance programs are executed and documented. Functions will include supporting transition of preventive maintenance data and data entry to expedite transition.

 

The Internship Program will begin on May 12th and end August 15th, 2025.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER…

  • Use CMMS system to generate and close preventive and corrective maintenance work orders. Provide weekly compliance report.
  • Assist in creating weekly Preventative Maintenance Schedules.
  • Use internal system Purchasing Module to place parts order, receive parts and assist inputting away parts in various locations
  • Maintain Training Records for all maintenance staff

 

YOU ARE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU…

  • Are currently pursuing a Millwright apprenticeship or Maintenance Management program;
  • Are active in extracurricular activities on campus or in the community;
  • Have previous related internship experience (an asset);
  • Previous experience in food or dairy industry (an asset)
  • Master Office suite programs and applications;
  • Familiar with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System);
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and autonomy;
  • Have strong time management skills: you will manage priorities and multiple projects at a time all while ensuring to meet deadlines.
