What you’ll do
Imagine working on Canada’s largest cybersecurity team! As an intern, you’ll be embedded in the frontlines of advanced threat detection and network defenses to protect consumers and businesses.
Together with our brightest minds, you will be part of the team that is solving some of the most complex security challenges that exist today. Every day, you’ll be hands-on, probing systems for weaknesses, monitoring networks for breaches, and responding to incidents.
What we’re looking for
Requirements
- You’re a first to third year student studying towards a university degree OR college/CEGEP diploma in computer science, mathematics, statistics, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields.
Technical Skills (you have some of the following):
- You can quickly analyze, process and visualize complex data to help drive decision making based on facts in a dynamic environment
- You have knowledge of scripting languages, such as Java, Python or Bash.
- You have a basic understanding of IT security and beginner experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security information and event management systems.
- You have experience with operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS.
- You have knowledge of networking and network security, including TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
- You are familiar with security protocols, such as TLS/SSL, SSH, and VPNs.
- You have experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools
- You have some familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts and their potential uses
- You have knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP & Azure) and cloud security principles
- You have some knowledge of micro segmentation, security events monitoring, lifecycle and triage; threat detection and incident management
- You have some knowledge of vulnerability management: vulnerability detection, security testing, penetration testing, risk analysis and vulnerability remediation
