We are looking for a highly motivated student to join our tax team as a seasonal tax specialist.

Toronto – 16 York St

This is an 8 month position running from January-August 2025.

 

The seasonal tax specialist will report to the Senior Tax Manager and support the team in multiple functions including:

  • Prepare T2 Canadian federal and provincial corporate tax returns for tax-exempt and taxable entities
  • Prepare T3 Trust Income Tax and Information Return for Canadian trusts
  • Prepare T4 Information Return and Statement of Remuneration Paid for directors
  • Prepare T5 Information Return and Statement of Investment Income
  • Assist with T5013 Information return and Statement of Partnership Income
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly GST/HST reconciliations and returns
  • Assist with the preparation of responses to tax authority’s inquiries
  • Assist with tax KYC requests such as FATCA Withholding Tax Reporting and Self Certificate Reporting
  • Assist with tax memo update and preparation
  • Assist with the preparation of Canadian and foreign tax document for new account set-up
  • Assist with the preparation of foreign withholding tax reclaim
  • Assist with pre-tax season preparation including financial information gathering and review, tax compliance list preparation, coordination with internal and external stakeholders etc.
  • Assist with post tax season projects such as reviewing and filing NOA and updating tax tracker
  • Collect and organize tax information provided by internal and external client
  • Perform research on various tax issues
  • Assist with updating Tax Coop Training Manual
  • Other tax related ad hoc projects

  • You have experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in preparing various types of tax returns including T2s, T3s and T5013s is an asset
  • Experience in CCH iFirm and/or Taxprep is an asset
