Location

If in Ottawa, you must be in the office at least three days a week. Other Canadian Locations – Remote

About the team

As a member of our Data & Analytics team, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data from cloud-based systems and databases and presenting insights to key stakeholders. You will gain valuable experience working with a range of data analysis tools and cloud platforms and will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects.

 

This is a 4, 8, or 12-month position, starting January 2025.

What you will do

  • Analyze data from cloud-based systems and databases
  • Develop and maintain data visualizations and reports to communicate insights to key stakeholders
  • Develop and publish performance and capacity metrics for existing services
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and data models
  • Assist with application performance monitoring solutions for Kinaxis’ Cloud  environments
  • Develop and implement scripts to help collect and analyze data
  • Analyze cloud costs, communicate trends, and provide cost optimization recommendations.
  • May perform additional projects upon request

  • Monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, LogicMonitor, Grafana)
  • Cloud Cost Management tools (Cloudability)
  • Business Intelligence tools (PowerBI).
  • Microsoft/Linux based servers both on premised and in the public cloud
  • Virtual and cloud infrastructure for development, support and testing
  • Scripting (SQL, Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
  • JIRA, Confluence, Github (BitBucket/Stash)
  • Infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code: Ansible, Terraform, Cloudify.
  • DBT
  • Google Cloud Platform

What we are looking for

  • Student enrolled in a post-secondary diploma or degree program in computer science or a related disciplineStrong presentation and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, hardworking and enthusiastic
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently when requested
  • A passion for computer and cloud technologies
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident due to CGRP security requirements
