Job Summary

Do you enjoy implementing new ideas and supporting a dynamic range of projects? The WMC Training and Development Department is looking for a Content & Communications intern to join their team and support department-wide initiatives.

Job Description

What will you do?

  • Liaise with a range of department members to support new and ongoing projects
  • Conference Planning: Coordinate and plan quarterly conferences for Wealth Management Canada Head Office, Training & Development team and branch employees; managing agendas and related materials.
  • Plan and host training sessions
  • Communications: Work with the Strategy and Communications team to build branch and internal communications plans
  • Training & Development RBC Connect Site Maintenance: Create blog posts, maintain resources, edit page layouts and post monthly announcements.
  • Content Creation: Create, edit and maintain written articles, videos, department presentations and ensure all content is created following the WMC Training & Development brand guidelines
  • Salesforce Data Input: Create and track training events and session attendance for team training sessions.
  • Training Program Support: Assist in coordination and administrative tasks for virtual and in-person training programs and calls.
  • Administration: Upkeep and maintain office policies and procedures to ensure efficient office operations, coordinates logistics for meetings, including rooms and catering.
  • Work with subject matter experts to update existing training content and create new content as needed (video, infographics, presentations, newsletters, etc.)
  • Provide insight and input into future of training – identify gaps and offer solutions for the department.

Must-have

  • Content creation experience
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Creative and analytical thinker
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Nice-to-have

  • A passion for thought-leadership, identifying opportunities to implement new ideas
  • An interest in training and development, finding ways to innovate and bridge gaps in training offerings
  • Experience working with a team
  • Knowledge of the wealth management industry

Please note:

In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either:

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
