The Opportunity:

The Supply Planning Intern is a crucial member of the Supply Planning team responsible for the supporting the development of production and inventory plans to meet service level targets and cost objectives, through effective inventory optimization and strategic planning. This individual will support the drive for improved category performance with specific focus on crucial business categories during peak season.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Plan the production for our state-of-the-art facilities to ensure that appropriate inventory levels are planned and maintained, in order to provide outstanding service to our customers; taking corrective action when inventories are long or short
  • Manage short term and long-term manufacturing capacities; identifies issues, bottlenecks and opportunities through regular collaboration with the manufacturing network
  • Develop seasonal inventory builds by examining manufacturing capacity and understanding customer needs; including understanding the cost and risk of holding inventory
  • Achieve timelines and support daily planning requirements

What You’ll Bring:

  • A desire to learn and growth within Supply Chain Planning
  • Completed (or in the process of completing) a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, finance or a related field
  • Knowledge of and experience with SAP-IBP, Inventory Optimization (IO), and Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, planning and inventory management methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the supply planning process.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and successfully operate in a fast paced, demanding environment
