Hatch is seeking a Transit Civil Student for an internship with interest in Railway & Transit engineering starting September 2024. Reporting to Rail & Transit Project Engineers you will support offices globally working from our Mississauga, ON head office.

As the successful candidate, you will: 

  • Be working as part of a design team, assisting with conceptual, preliminary and detailed design; site inspection; design calculations, report writing.
  • Coordination with engineers, designers and related disciplines as required to assist with project deliverables.
  • Preparing design submissions and other technical documents.

 

You bring to the role:

  • Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a Civil Design College Program;
  • Relevant courses: Civil, Structural, Geotechnics, Utilities and Project Management are an asset.
  • Knowledge of current technical engineering codes and practices.
  • Proficiency in the use of either or:  AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or Civil3D
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook);
  • Problem solving skills and analytical.
