Your Opportunity

 

BDO Canada is seeking a Co-op or Intern for its Strategic Operations Team in support of executive initiatives.  In this exciting new role, you will report directly to the Director of Operations and collaborate closely with the Chief of Staff and the Corporate Communications team in supporting both the CEO and the COO, as well as the extended executive leadership team.

 

The Co-op or Intern will support the development and operationalization of firm strategy, including reporting and communication within the firm.  This role will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on key organizational initiatives, with extensive mentorship from a team of strong executive leaders.  This opportunity is available for the fall term from September – December 2024 to support the following responsibilities:

 

  • Support the Strategic Operations Team on the execution of strategy, and communication on all related firm-wide initiatives.
  • Efficiently use technical knowledge to carry out work projects and assignments.
  • Champion the delivery of key projects by providing monitoring and support, including advising on prioritization of projects.
  • Support the creation and delivery of business communication in way that is clear and compelling, and drives change and action.
  • Contribute to creating high impact presentations, as well as firm-wide communications to support agendas and initiatives including ELT and Board presentations.
  • Help prepare performance summaries on a recurring basis.
  • Review and analyze data to support with strategic decision-making.
  • Develop trusting relationships across BDO’s diverse teams of business service professionals
  • Coordinate and attend internal and external meetings as required.

  • You are currently working towards or have completed an MBA.

  • You have proven leadership skills and can take initiative.

  • You are detail-oriented, proactive, organized, and able to manage projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are passionate about learning and exploring new ideas, opportunities, and challenges.
  • You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
