Job Summary
RBC’s Global Asset Management Competitive Intelligence team is hiring a student analyst working within the wealth management space. You will use and further develop a suite of sophisticated tools in Excel to collate information across multiple data sources and conduct analyses. Past students have gained a variety of experience across diverse selection of projects ranging from data analytics, intelligence report development, automation and sales enablement projects to support large advisor sales, senior management and product development.
Job Description
What will you do?
- Conduct analyses on internal and external data sets to support business decisions and provide insights into industry, advisor and portfolio trends and report on strategy effectiveness and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) outcomes relative to expectations using Excel
- Take an analytically rigorous approach to establish actionable intelligence (trends, insights, recommendations, and implementations) and accurate and timely reporting
- Evolve intelligence reporting to provide greater business insights
- Support the implementation and execution of current data initiatives, research programs and intelligence reports

- Proven track record of leadership and excellence in academic and extracurricular activities
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to effectively work in a team environment
- Positive attitude with willingness to perform beyond what is being asked
- Proven experience in delivering high quality and accurate work with the ability to multitask and shift priorities
Nice-to-haves:
- Proficiency in programming (e.g VBA) and other software such as Tableau, Python
- Equally effective and conversant in business and technical environments
- Prior financial knowledge or courses

- Be returning to school after the work term end-date; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully.
