The Role:
Rakuten Kobo Inc. is looking for a Recruitment Intern to join our Global Recruitment team! Reporting to the Manager, Global Recruitment, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a broad range of recruitment projects and initiatives, supporting business units across the globe.
The Recruitment Intern will receive well-rounded exposure to numerous areas of recruiting, including process mapping, reporting, employer branding, and diversity & inclusion. Additionally, you will learn how Talent Acquisition supports the overall organization and gain insights into working in a Human Resources role in a fast paced, growing technology company.
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be available to work full time for a period of one year.

What you’ll be doing:
Recruitment Coordination
- Work with our recruiters to schedule candidate interviews with hiring teams
- Track candidate feedback in Workday
- Liaise with recruitment affiliates to ensure postings are up to date on partner job boards
Administration
- Draft offer letters for full time and student hires
- Help facilitate employee and contractor onboarding
- Reporting and tracking KPI’s for the recruitment team
- Assist Early Careers Program Lead with funding applications to colleges and universities
Recruitment Operations
- Maintain job requisitions in Workday to ensure they are kept up to date
- Own the integration of new tools to help streamline hiring process
- Create, maintain, and update recruitment process documentation
The Skillset:
Required:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- High level of ethical integrity in relation to confidential information
- Comfortable communicating in a professional manner across all levels of the organization
- High attention to detail and follow strict data integrity practices
- Ability to be flexible and take on ad hoc responsibilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
- Takes initiative, can work without supervision and begin tasks independently
- Highly organized and detail oriented
Nice to have:
- Familiarity of applicant tracking and CRM systems (e.g. Workday, Beamery)
- Knowledge of recruiting tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and Glassdoor
- Relevant prior internship experience
