Plains’ engineering internship opportunities have been specifically designed to provide students the opportunity to apply their academic studies and gain valuable experience through meaningful and challenging work. - Capital Maintenance Program
Responsibilities:
- Support the maintenance of the capital 10-year database. Review plan submission, assist in project reviews, risk assessment to maintain consistency across North American divisions.
- Support building of power presentation and maintaining Power BI dashboard.
- Support the risk ranking process across for maintenance capital projects
- Perform variance analysis on actual vs budget/plan spends
- Develop an understanding of processes and overall function of assigned business group
- Attend internal and stakeholder meetings, where applicable
- Assist in various ad hoc requests as required.
Qualifications:
- Must have completed at least one year of undergraduate studies
- Interns must be able to commit to a 3 or 8-month work term starting June 3, 2024.
- Interns must be pursuing an undergraduate Engineering degree.
- Previous work terms are considered an asset
- Both formal and non-formal co-op students are eligible to apply
- Interns must be able and willing to relocate themselves to Calgary for the duration of work term
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating strong analytical and organizational skills
- Proven flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing business conditions
- Excellent computer and communication skills.
- The successful candidate must provide satisfactory references and complete a Criminal Background Check.
