Reporting to the Data Strategy and Enablement Director, the Business Intelligence & Enablement Intern will be responsible for providing assistance in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets – identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies within the data to provide meaningful insights. In addition, the Business Intelligence & Enablement Intern will also support in developing and executing programs and initiatives to enhance data literacy and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.

 

You’re great at…

  • In collaboration with subject matter experts to implement data products (reports, insights, dashboard, etc), document process and identify enhancement
  • Assist In collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets -identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within the data to provide meaningful insights.
  • Support in developing resources to facilitate continuous learning and development related to data analytics and AI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Work with Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or other relevant platforms.
  • Learn and apply best practices for data visualization and reporting
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business intelligence.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements based on data analysis.
  • Support in defining key initiatives, milestones, and success metrics for the implementation of the data enablement strategy.
  • Communicate findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Document processes, methodologies, and insights for future reference.
  • Support in developing and executing programs and initiatives to enhance data literacy and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Who are you?

  • Excellent communication skills – both verbally and written.
  • Able to take ownership of problems and requests as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced team.
  • Critical thinker.
  • Exposure to developing dashboards and mining data for insights.
  • Experience with BI tools.
  • Disciplined self-starter with strong analytical, logical, reasoning and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy.

 

Must have skills:

Nice to have skills:

  • Previous experience in data management, project management or data analytics
  • Knowledge of data management and data governance concepts
  • Ability to resolve complex problems and break them down to create and implement an action plan
  • Ability to lead data related project activities

 

Workstyle: Hybrid*

Location: Toronto

Term: May – August 2024

Duration: Monday – Friday

 

*Must be eligible to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a Full Time Capacity
