The opportunity

The Gildan Internship Program 2024 offers students the opportunity to participate in stimulating projects and gain valuable experience that will help them transition to the workplace. Our summer internship program will take place from May 13th to August 16th, 2024. As an Investor Relations Intern, you will support all facets of the IR function: gathering intelligence in the apparel industry and monitoring trends in the investment sector; tracking peer performance; monitoring stock performance and changes to Gildan’s investor base; drafting corporate communications; and help plan the investor outreach program

The role

  • Gather industry intelligence, peer performance and monitor trends in stock performance and valuation. Provide weekly report.
  • Provide support and get full exposure to the quarterly reporting deliverables such as drafting documents, preparing presentations.
  • Research investor-related queries and build an understanding of our shareholder base. Analyze actual situation and help plan the investor outreach efforts.

What you bring to the role

Knowledge & Professional Experience

  • Finance, Commerce; ideally a candidate that is enrolled and pursuing their CFA designation.
  • Completed 3rd year university or graduate student.

Attributes

  • Knowledge of financial modeling techniques.
  • Investment analysis capability.
  • Passion and interest in capital markets and equities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly strong skills in excel and preparing PowerPoint presentations.
  • This position requires proficiency in a language other than French to support customers, employees or markets located outside the province of Quebec or requiring services in a language other than French.
