The Opportunity:
This position works with a team focused on processing, e-filing and scanning income tax returns and documents in a timely manner. We are team-oriented, goal driven, and value strong communication and data-entry skills. An experienced problem-solver with good attendance habits and attention to detail will do well in this position.
A Tax Processor candidate ideally would have some experience working in a fast-paced environment. It is valuable if the candidate possesses adequate knowledge of related data entry software. Must be able to follow directions, organized and detail oriented. Double checking entries on the Tax Return and assembling the Tax Return electronically
What you will do
- Prepare Clients’ tax returns for the time sensitive tax period.
- Assist within the Processing, e-filing and scanning of income tax returns and documents.
- Review Client tax documents for accuracy, investigate questionable data and take corrective action when necessary.
- Manage Clients’ soft and hard files.
- Ability to accommodate additional hours as needed during the monthly peak processing period, which is between the 15th and the 31st of March & April.
- Data entry tasks to input information into our systems.
- Correspond with internal staff about tax processing/ e-filing or scanning
- Enjoy potential opportunities to learn a variety of roles and transition to other areas where temporary assistance is needed within the department.
This is a full time position Monday to Friday in-person, in office role, with weekends and evenings as needed.
