What you’ll do:

Eaton is seeking an Intern- Custom Order Product Specialist to join our Engineering team for a 16-month term. The Engineering Intern will be based in Milton, Ontario.

Position Overview:

This position will work closely with Custom Order Product Specialists, creating/updating as-built ACAD-Electrical drawings, improving/enhancing front end tools (MS Suite). In addition, the position will support on Design Automation projects and Mechanical Design Team ‘ s Continuous Improvement activities.

Essential functions:

–    Creating/updating ACAD-Electrical drawings and supporting Engineering Department on related activities.
–    Leading & assisting with improvements to databases (MS Access) and MS Suite Tools.
–    Actively participating in plant wide lean activities.
–    Supporting Engineering Department with cost improvements and quality initiatives.
–    Complete other duties/projects as required

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
–    Currently enrolled in and returning to college or University degree program in Engineering or Computer Science.
–    Intermediate/ advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
–    This position does not offer relocation.
–    Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with no company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

–    Prior internship or co-op experience.
–    Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
–    Experience with ACAD Electrical and Microsoft applications.
