About the Role
We are looking for a design or architecture student who has an interest in Workplace Design & Strategy or Facilities Management.
While working under direct supervision of the Sr Director, Office Experience & Facilities – an intern functions as an Entry Level Workplace Designer and performs a broad variety of drafting and/or design tasks.
This is an IN-PERSON position. The intern must be able to work in the office 5 days a week.
Main Activities:
• Modifying facilities drawings for as built condition or to incorporate design & layout changes
• Creating or modifying presentation documents
• Assisting with site verifications, field surveys or deficiency reviews
• Providing project administrative support (record keeping, transmitting, copying, packaging drawing, filing, etc.)
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in third year (or higher) of a university or College-level architecture or design program
• Working knowledge of space planning and design methodology
• Working knowledge of design drawings and documentation.
• Working knowledge of the furniture layout principles
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of design process and phasing procedures
• Intermediate MS Office application skills
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Suite software
