Zombiecraft is dedicated to deliver the best zombie survival gameplay experience within Minecraft. In your role as a Video game developer intern, you will work closely with other developers to design and introduce new features, create new maps, make new assets, enhance the codebase, engage in bug fixing etc… Among Zombiecraft’s small team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of modules, establish a close relationship with the community and actively participate in our fast growth.

• This internship program is open to candidates specializing in Art, Design, or Programming.
• We highly value candidates with lower academic levels.
• Being Fluent in English and having good communication skills are core qualifications.
Programmer Responsibilities
• Implementation of new features for the game.
• Optimization and refactoring of the codebase.
• Participation in Peer reviews and/or Documentation of technical components.
• Game testing, bug reporting and debugging.
• Engagement in meetings and collaboration with other developers.
Programmer Qualifications
• Must have less than 29 years of experience with Java (1995) and preferably less than 12 with Kotlin (2010).
• Knowledge of either SQL, Discord bot development or Nextjs is a plus.
• Passionate about programming and ready to showcase previous projects.
• Must have experience playing Minecraft.
• Experience with Minecraft server development with Bukkit, Spigot, or Paper is preferable. Experience with Minecraft commands, data packs and modding is a plus.
Artist Responsibilities
• Design new blocks / models / props following the Minecraft artistic direction (Pixel art & Low-poly)
• Design UI screens / icons
• Design cosmetics: hats, wearables, pets, …
Artist Qualifications
• Portfolio showcasing quality work, preferably containing Low-poly & Pixel art assets.
• Must have experience playing Minecraft.
• Experience with resource pack development is a plus.
• Experience with Blockbench modeling for Minecraft is preferable.
• Experience with Aseprite or similar for pixel art is preferable.
Designer Responsibilities
• Design, build and test new maps for the game within Minecraft.
• Design peripheral systems around the game such as ranking and economy.
• Perform balancing, Quality Assurance and iterative development on various game systems such as weapon attributes and game progression.
• Game testing, bug reporting and debugging.
• Engagement in meetings and collaboration with other developers.
Designer Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of Minecraft and the source material.
• Talented Minecraft builder.
