Our Restoration & R enewal practice provides owners and managers with a home for solutions to a wide range of structural, envelope, and building systems needs for existing properties of every use, age, and construction type.
Our multidisciplinary design and assessment services cover a wide range of needs. We design repairs, renovations, and alterations and oversee their execution in the field.
The ideal candidate will have experience evaluating and designing below grade waterproofing, plaza deck waterproofing, and roofing for new builds and alterations.
We seek to grow our envelope practice in the GTA and provide our brand of service to the area’s marquee institutions and landmarks.

Investigate existing building envelopes to assess conditions and prepare repair recommendations (may require working at heights from swing stage, scaffold, or lift)
Perform, observe and document testing protocols.
Research materials and systems to determine specific project suitability.
Coordinate design work with in-house staff as well as other consultants, including Architects and other Engineering disciplines, Cost Consultants, and Contractors.
Prepare technical documents for building envelope new construction, repairs, rehabilitation, additions, and litigation.
Assist in construction administration:
respond to RFIs, organize submittal logs, attend construction meetings, perform site inspections, prepare field reports, etc.
Interpret local building codes and project/design/construction.
Bachelor’s degree in Building Science, Architecture, or Engineerin g. – 8 years of relevant full-time experience in building envelope design, investigation, and repair. Hold or working towards professional licensure and/or Building Science Specialist (BSS) designation.
Must have strong verbal communication skills and experience with technical writing.
Proficient with AutoCAD. Revit experience preferred.
Strong interest in working on-site.
Willingness and ability to perform examination of existing buildings, including working at heights and from swing stage, scaffold, or lift.
