Construction is looking for students who can fulfill an 8-month Project or Field
Coordinator internship beginning in January 2024. The Co-op must be
available to work on site with the site team Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week.
The role includes assisting in obtaining, evaluating, and coordinating project
engineering information needed to construct projects.
the Project Manager and/or the Superintendent in the field through assistance,
coordination and distribution of information required to construct the project
in time, within budget and to quality standard. The intern reports to the
Project Manager or Project Superintendent.
Assist the Project Manager with obtaining information and approvals for

• Monitor field variations and keep the Project Superintendent informed of any

Working toward a four-year degree in Engineering or three-year college diploma in Construction Management, or equivalent is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building construction.
• Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite programs.
• Basic ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Strong ability to demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills and teamwork with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
• Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. While performing the duties of this job, the Co-Op regularly works onsite in a standalone trailer at the construction work site where they are exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
