We are looking to fill two 16-month opportunities, starting in January of 2024 until August of 2025.

What You’ll Do
• Provide design & drafting support for the full lifecycle of engineering drawing development, implementation and decommissioning within the Canada Gas system.
• Perform QA/QC (confirm quality and completeness) of internal and third-party drawing deliverables during design and as-built phases for conformance to TC Energy drafting standards.
• Manage engineering drawings within the enterprise information management (OpenText) software.
• Check-in/check-out project related drawings and coordinate with project teams on the concurrent use of a drawing(s) by two or more projects
• Provides support, guidance and quality control of internal and third-party drafting deliverables while confirming adherence to TC Energy specification and standards.
• Provide design and drafting services (AutoCAD) to produce engineering deliverables such as Issued for Construction (plot plans, process flows, etc.), as-build or design standard drawings
• Collaborate with internal project teams on drawing deliverables to meet assigned project(s) schedule(s) and confirm drafting content
• Coordinate with internal and external designers and drafters the delivery of construction and as-built drawing(s)
• Plan, prioritize, track and archive drawings through the project life cycle. Participate in design review meetings, if required
• Work with Engineers and field personnel to ensure that changes have been properly incorporated into all affected drawings
• Communicate redline discrepancies to project teams and work with project teams and field operations to resolve issues
• Depending on skillset and interests, manage and coordinate third party services, including scope creation, budgeting and forecasting

Preferred Qualifications
• Students within a Bachelor of Science in Engineering OR Engineering Design and Drafting Technology program
• Knowledge of both 2D and 3D drawing technologies (including AutoCAD and BlueBeam)
• Experience with enterprise information management (OpenText) software
