Responsibilities
• Review project documents (policies, standards, specifications, drawings, data sheets) related to mechanical and piping systems to assure they meet project and Kinross objectives.
• Conduct task reviews to ensure alignment with technical drawings and specifications.
• Assist the project team in performing trade-off studies by preparing financial models and prepare brief analysis reports and presentations.
• Develop basic drawings, design concept sketches, and perform basic design calculations.
• Take the role of a coordinator to gather, and compile design review comments.
• Explore industry trends and perform market research for latest technology on mechanical systems and guide engineers on opportunities to add value, improve productivity and safety.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations for Executive management under guidance of senior staff.
• Assist in the preparation of schedules, budgets, and technical reports. Minimum Requirements
• Third year university student in a four-year mechanical engineering program.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proven ability to collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Team player with an ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of large multi-disciplinary teams.
• Computer skills (Microsoft office suite: Words, Excel, and Power point). Our Approach to COVID-19
