Tourmaline Oil Corp. is a Canadian senior crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company. We are focused on long-term growth through an aggressive exploration, development, production and acquisition program in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
Tourmaline has developed an extensive data set and are looking for an Advanced Analytics Student or Intern to join our Calgary office to progress the advanced analytics program. This is a term position that will run approximately eight months in length.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for or assist with the following duties but not be limited to:
• Support data analytics team members in tasks as required to ensure data is organized and usable for advanced analytics
• Work with business teams and data analytics personnel within Tourmaline to identify projects and develop project plans with consideration to business impact
o Ensure projects are aligned with overarching strategy and inclusive and consistent for prioritization and integration of projects
o Develop sustainability plan to ensure projects are able to be integrated into current processes
• Prioritize and execute projects, evaluate available tools and strategies to complete projects, develop cost and schedule estimates and track progress to manage budget and schedule
• Work with field teams and travel to field operations as necessary for site visits and meetings
QUALIFICATIONS
• Completed a minimum of three years or graduated in a relevant degree including but not limited to Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering.

• Experience with advanced analytics projects and tools
• Awareness of the following softwares would be an asset: Visio, Power BI, Accumap, ProdView, Wellman Nextgen, Corva
