Amelia is an emerging start-up backed by NEXT Canada based in Toronto, Canada. Our vision is to increase the mobility of women around the world. Our product, Amelia, is a digital platform that brings together ambitious women in tech, venture, and business to enable them to casual network offline, in small and intimate groups, at restaurants and cafés.
About the role:
Our web app @getamelia.co is already well-loved by thousands of active users and we are looking for a passionate and exceptional Software Engineer Intern to help launch our mobile app soon. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the growth of the Amelia community in Toronto, Vancouver, and New York. We have ambitious expansion goals in mind and need valuable talent to join the team to help us realize our vision.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and ship new product features using the React Native framework across iOS and Android applications
• Manage the lifecycle of the mobile app development and deployment processes
• Collaborate with the Tech Lead, other interns, UlUX designers, and the founding team
• Attend weekly stand-ups and share regular project updates
Ideal Candidate:
• You are passionate about writing high-quality code and active on GitHub
• You have experience building a mobile application or using React
You can be flexible and adapt to a fast-paced, startup environment
Bonus points if you have:
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Knowledge of iOS and Android back-end services/APIs.
• Knowledge of iOS/Android design principles and application interface guidelines.
