About the role:

 

The Creative team stands out for its lively creativity and flawless style. It translates users’ needs, business objectives, and technology capabilities from concept to delivery with exceptional attention to detail. It aims to craft an alluring experience that skillfully incorporates the voice of the end user.

 

As the Content Strategy Intern, you will work alongside members of the Creative team on client-facing project, internal initiatives, and new business development. Our goal is to demonstrate the variety within “content strategy” and provide relevant opportunities for you to participate in and grow from.

 

What you’ll do:

• Create and revise a myriad of deliverables including voice and tone docs, style guides, strategy presentations, copy decks, and more

• Collaborate in cross-functional teams with UX and VD practitioners

• Present work to Creative team members

• Evangelize the Content Strategy practice internally at Avanade, and externally to clients who may need content help

 

About you:

 

First and foremost, you have complete mastery over the English language and are passionate about writing. You are also a creative thinker, as well as an assertive problem solver with an analytical mind. You have deep content experience and know how to translate business needs into a content strategy that meets those needs.

 

Applicant requirements:

• A keen interest in copywriting and content strategy

• A portfolio of projects that demonstrate your understanding of copywriting

• Work can be academic case studies or live projects

• Academic achievements could include:

• A bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Creative Writing, or similar program

• A college certificate in a related field

• A bootcamp certificate in a related field

• Self-taught credentials

• Credentials in progress

 

About you:

• Demonstrate a growth mindset with some knowledge of:

• Technical writing

• Proofreading

• Content audits

• Taxonomies

• Copy decks

• Style guides

• Research methodologies

• Great communicator with an eagerness to work within a team

• Creative mind and collaborative spirit

• Comfortable with ambiguity on projects
