Term: 3 months Internship, Full-Time (January 2024 – March 2024)

 

Reports to: Director, Health Innovation Programs

 

Salary Range: $18/hour – $26/hour (Typical Hiring Range: $20/hour – $22/hour)

 

Location: We are a pan-Canadian healthcare organization and welcome candidates from across Canada. Our head office is located in Ottawa, Ontario and we welcome flexible work options such as permanent/fully remote, hybrid, flexible work hours, and compressed work weeks.

Working closely with valued partners and stakeholders, the Health Innovation Programs team designs, delivers, and evaluates a suite of activities, including collaboratives and large-scale programs, that support the identification, spread and scale of innovative models of care to improve the quality and safety within and across health systems, as well as dissemination of key learnings from these activities. Our current activities include Virtual Care Together and Bridge-to-Home, as well as scoping, identification and design of new programming and special projects that improve healthcare, with, and for – everyone in Canada.

 

Your core responsibilities include:

• Collects, cleans, analyzes, and synthetizes quantitative and qualitative data.

• Establishes strong working relationships with staff and provides support as needed.

• Assists in writing reports, meeting agendas, and briefings; taking meeting minutes; and preparing presentations to clearly communicate results and support decision making.

• Supports the data entry, analysis and synthesis of data gained through ongoing collaborative team-level data and aggregate results reporting.

• Assists with creating summary tables to translate knowledge.

• Supports the synthesis of insights gained through routine environmental scanning.

• Ongoing program implementation activity support.

Education and experience you will need to have:

• Working towards a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field is required

• Advanced computer software skills in Microsoft Office suite and virtual environment.

• Experience writing reports/ synopses, summarizing, interpreting, and synthesizing complex information into written documents.

• Experience with data collection and analysis.

• Familiarity with Canadian health system care delivery issues.
