Healthy Impact Community & Economic Development Organization is a non-profit committed to fostering positive change in communities, primarily in Uganda. We empower individuals to lead their own development initiatives. We are seeking passionate and driven individuals to join our team as Remote Project Management Interns. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to start, manage, and fundraise for your own project, making a real impact from anywhere in the world.

Position Overview:

As a Remote Project Management Intern, you will play a crucial role in our organization’s mission to drive sustainable community and economic development in Uganda. This internship is project-based, meaning you will take ownership of your project from inception to completion. Your primary responsibility will be to manage your project remotely, collaborating with our team on the ground in Uganda and volunteers, and working towards the project’s success.

Start date Immediately, ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Initiation: Work closely with our team to identify community needs, define project goals, and develop a project plan.

2. Fundraising: Create and implement a fundraising strategy to secure the necessary funds for your project’s execution. You will be eligible for an optional stipend based on your fundraising success, with any excess funds directly supporting the project’s objectives.

3. Remote Project Management: Oversee all project activities and work with volunteers and our team in Uganda to ensure project milestones are met.

4. Monitoring and Evaluation: Implement a monitoring and evaluation framework to assess the project’s impact and make necessary adjustments as needed.

5. Documentation: Maintain thorough records and produce periodic reports on the project’s progress, expenses, and outcomes.

6. Community Engagement: Foster meaningful relationships with community members and stakeholders to ensure the project aligns with their needs and aspirations.

Qualifications:

– Passion for community and economic development in Uganda and a commitment to making a positive impact.

– Strong organizational and project management skills.

– Effective communication and collaboration with remote teams and volunteers.

– Fundraising and resource mobilization experience is a plus.

– Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
