You will be in the Platform Organization within the Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions division, in one of the teams that build components for the Fusion 360 family of products. We are looking for a Software Engineer Intern to help us fulfill the mission of the organization, which is to drive developer productivity, cross platform device independence and software platform consistency.
Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will learn & gain mentorship from seasoned engineers on the team. You will work on implementing exciting User Interface, client-facing components used in the Fusion 360 family of products and some underlying logic. As a member of the team, you will gain invaluable experience in a team that is technically proficient, goal driven, cohesive, highly supportive, and diverse. You will receive mentorship in your journey to becoming a productive and impactful contributor.
You will:
• Participate in technical design and code reviews.
• Design, implement, test and maintain infrastructure components and user facing features based on stakeholders’ requirements.
• Work with a very collaborative team of software engineers, QAs and designers in Toronto and potentially other worldwide engineering sites.
• Learn how to develop estimates for tasks, evaluate risks and dependencies, to help plan.
Minimum Qualifications
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Prior internship experience (preferably 1 or 2 prior terms of experience as an intern)
• Experience with programming and debugging.
• Interest in software architecture and design. ·
• Experience and familiarity in using web-based technologies, concepts, and constructs.
• Commitment to learning and self-development in both technical and non-technical skills.
• Work well in a team to achieve team goals. ·
Preferred Qualifications
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, NodeJS and React & Redux frameworks.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript
• Familiarity with the Agile methodology.
• Knowledge of unit testing & automated testing.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD using Jenkins/GIT
