The HR Assistant will play a supporting role in the delivery of HR Advisory activities. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, you will have the opportunity to further your development by providing day-to-day support for various projects and initiatives within the Human Resources Advisory Team. You will have an enriching experience, with opportunities to learn and participate in employee engagement, onboarding, employee relations, training, and development and more! • Acting as a back-up to the HR Coordinators
• Support the backcheck verification
• Assist with general HR programs and initiatives
• Respond to employee inquiries, monitoring shared inbox according to preset SLAs.
• Prepare reports and provide requested information to the HR Advisory leadership team
• Researching, analyzing, and maintaining information systems in support of human
• resource administration – entering all employee information into applicable systems
• Support the HR team in day-to-day partnership with client group to provide advice and counsel to colleagues on HR related issues and concerns
Who are you?
• Currently enrolled as a student in a post-secondary Bachelor Program
• HR certificate program
• Concentration in Human Resources is preferred
• Solid verbal, written and analytical communication skills
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – particularly Excel
• Proven time management and organization skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
