Position Overview

Frostbite is EA’s state-of-the-art multi-platform game development engine. Our global team develops creative engine features and cutting-edge tools that let our game makers create stunning games. As a member of Frostbite’s Animation, Characters or Cinematics team, you will build new features for or improving existing features within the FrostEd editor, our desktop tool that empowers content creators to build amazing game experiences. Our tools allow game designers and developers to build engaging Characters, realistic Animations so they can move within the game world, and create fascinating narrative scenes to immerse the player into the experience. You will coordinate with members of the software, product, QA, and game teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality tools.

Responsibilities
• You will work directly with software development and quality assurance teams to add or improve functionality with the Animation, Characters, or Cinematics domains.
• You will work with engineers on the team to learn patterns and designs that are used.
• You will investigate and fix bugs in our codebase.
• You will attend team meetings and present progress information.
• You will report to a Software Engineer or Engineering Manager.

Qualifications
• You are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field
• You have experience with C#, C++ or similar object-oriented language.
• You have experience debugging applications with Visual Studio

You must be available for a full-time paid internship in the summer of 2024. We are only considering students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2024, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2024. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the Canada on a full-time basis during the 16-week Co-op. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
