Purpose of Job The Delivery & Productivity Intern works alongside and supports Project Managers in all aspects of managing material projects. This role supports the Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Controlling and Closure of projects in adherence with corporate and departmental policies including Enterprise Change Management as well as our Project Management methodology. This includes baselined scope, schedule, budgets, resource needs and other parameters set by the Executive Sponsor and delegate throughout the project life cycle.The Delivery & Productivity Intern will support Project Managers with a portfolio of projects that are strategic in importance, high complexity and of a long duration. The coordinator may also support team members and their work streams initiatives as appropriate. Work Term: January 2, 2024 to April 26, 2024
The Work
• Supports the management of multiple material projects of high to strategic: risk, length, and complexity throughout the full project life cycle
• Develop the skills to operate with full transparency as it pertains to issues and risks – which includes knowing when to communicate to the right people at the right time
• Support detailed planning at all levels to understand the work, responsibilities and dependencies to set the right expectations, ultimately enabling on-time delivery
• Help engage stakeholders and manage governance forums to ensure timely and transparent & effective decision making
• Support the management of financials/budget and navigate EQBs financial processes to ensure approval of funding and disciplined cost management
• Support and/or facilitate meetings, document minutes and follow up on risks, action items, issues and decisions (RAID)
• Support completion of project evaluations, velocity metrics and assessment of results to the key benefits and performance indicators
• Support the creation and maintenance of Project Management Methodology / Standards and Practices
• Support the Banks change management initiatives including: Intake of changes / processing of change / initiation of change, Material change management and Business Process Analysis
Let’s Talk About You
• Completed 3 years of a 4-year University program (Finance, Business, Accounting or Economics is preferred).
• Demonstrated ability using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
• Passion for change and a strong will to learn about the internal complexities of change management in a large organization.
• Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to respond in a clear, concise and professional manner.
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and work in a fast paced environment.
