Internship: Online Store Manager, Digital Marketer and SEO Specialist

We are a start-up company marketing 2 brands, one is food and beverage, and the second brand is for kitchen accessories that is only sold on Amazon in the U.S. at the moment. We are looking for a passionate individual who specializes in Digital Marketing and WooCommerce Store Management to market our current range of products on all social media platforms including LinkedIn and run ads on Google. The aim is to bring traffic to our online store and Amazon store that converts into sales, while increasing brand awareness. The role and duties include preparing promotional material that takes our vision to the customer, use effective and timely messaging to attract new customers, develop strategies specific to different media, and networking for brand awareness.

Job Responsibilities:
• Manage online store and provide daily sales reports and inventory reports.
• Thorough research on keywords relevant to the product.
• Organic ranking of that keyword on Google and paid ad campaigns run on those keywords within a set budget.
• Regular optimization and analysis of the campaigns to see which strategies are effective and which are not.
• Writing some blogs every 2 to 3 wks, with key words that can optimize word press based website.
• Designing and creating online marketing content, including brochures, and promotional emails.
• Become part of social media groups to engage in the trending discussions within the plant-based industry.
• Post 3-4 times a week and grow organic audience on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest.
• Email marketing campaigns, building a list and sending emails every week.
• Participate in trade shows, farmers markets and other exhibitions to promote product and brand. Distribute sell sheets and give info on products. Collect data of interested customers and consumers.
• Gather customer feedback to inform sales and product teams.
• In Store promotion, check product visibility on shelves etc.
• Daily activity report and frequent meetings to update on current activities, performance and future ideas.
• Tracking and recording the performance of marketing campaigns and presenting this information to the business development and members of a company’s leadership team.
• Other tasks as needed.

Required Skills/Qualification
• Education in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Mass Communication. Must be enrolled in a Co-Op degree with an educational institute in Ontario.
• This job is funded by WIL-ITC, and this program requires that candidates be enrolled full-time in an educational institute, be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
• Knowledge and experience with online brand building, marketing and social media platforms.

Job type: Internship

Salary: $17-18 per hour, plus incentives
