about this team

The Product Innovation team drives innovation across lululemon’s apparel business. With a diverse and passionate team of innovators, leading human and material research infrastructure, and our pioneering Science of Feel innovation philosophy, the Product Innovation team ensures that lululemon remains at the forefront of the sport, exercise, and lifestyle apparel industry. We need you to fuel the innovation process through the support, development and execution of R&D activities, bringing rigor to data collection, critical analysis to its interpretation, and creativity and relevance to its translation. Interns will receive support, coaching and mentorship, gain practical work experience, and develop new skills to expand your career possibilities.

a day in the life
• Coordinate, set up and execute testing in lab and in field.
• Coordinate all subject recruitment and manage them during testing
• Partner with the Senior Research Scientist to support and deliver against key R&D initiatives
• Use our state-of-the-art equipment, to measure and interpret both subjective and objective data from our guests, garments, materials.
• Engage with Ambassadors to test new prototypes and collect subjective feedback.
• Collate data in an organized and logical manner in Excel or other analysis software.
• Analyzing data to uncover unique findings and correlations

qualifications
• You have a degree in human physiology and/or biomechanics-related fields and experience conducting testing in a laboratory and field environment
• You have a passion for a career in R&D, you love finding research proven insights and are data obsessed
• You are conscientious, driven and always willing to learn
• You are proactive and bring energy to whatever you do
• You educate others and you never stop educating yourself
• You sweat every day because you are the best product tester you know
