Chapter Community Administrative Services / Volunteer Coordinator Summer Staff Job Opportunity
MADD Parkland Chapter has an opening for a temporary summer employment position.
What You Will Do:
· Research local community event opportunities
· Attend, set up and participate in some community events
· Recruit and schedule volunteers to attend community events
· Recruit new volunteers
· Create posts for social media
· Assist board members as needed
· Online file organization
What You Bring to the Team:
· Volunteer experience
· Comfortable with social media
· Organized with good communication skills
· Comfortable with meeting new people and engagement with both internal and external people
· Ability to work alone
Must meet the participant requirements under the Canada Summer Jobs Agreement with Employment and Social Development Canada as outlined:
· Is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment
· Is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee
· Is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations
This temporary position is 30 hours per week for 8 weeks, starting in June 2023. Hours may include week-end events and activities on direction from the MADD Parkland Chapter Board of Directors.
You will be required to undergo police screening (criminal background check) as a requirement for this position.
