Please note: This posting is for a 4-month Student Fall 2025 placement with a start date of September 2025 and end-date of December 2025.

In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of December 2025; or
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August/December 2025), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will be part of the Multinationals Corporate Client Group Relationship team which is a relationship management team focused on leveraging RBC’s diverse product capabilities including credit and lending, working capital, transactional banking and risk management solutions to deliver our client’s global strategic priorities. Our aim is to position RBC as the preferred partner for foreign headquartered global corporates.

What will you do?

  • Part of the relationship management team, based in Toronto focused client relationship management
  • Assist with preparation of marketing pitches to existing and potential clients for corporate loans (acquisition loans, bridge loans, term loans, revolving credit facilities).
  • Support Relationship team’s internal credit submissions, including research, analysis, client profitability, KYC and AML support
  • Liaise with back-office functions connected to, for example, closing and funding, wires, payments, settlements, etc.
  • There may be opportunities to assist with projects / initiatives the team is working on to create efficiencies in workflow.

Must-have

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, economics, accounting, or finance.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with an ability to analyze company financial statements and working knowledge of building financial models.
  • Strong skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and the ability to source data/research.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Well organized and able to set priorities and devote appropriate attention to each assignment resulting in performing well under pressure, meeting time sensitive deadlines, prioritizing work and being able to work on multiple projects.

Nice-to-have

  • Work experience in corporate lending or corporate finance or at an accounting firm in audit or advisory function
  • Knowledge of building a business case
  • Experience/Interest in preparing marketing materials
