Summer Relief  Machine Operator – Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

You’ll discover a stimulating atmosphere that fosters your professional growth in a clean and safe environment.   Reporting to the Supervisor, Production, this machine operator position is responsible for the daily operation of the fluid milk filling and processing equipment.
Schedule: Various
 Salary:  $26.55-$29.50

How you will make contributions that matter:
·                 Responsible for efficient operation of fluid processing equipment from silos to finished product.

·                 Ensures equipment is operating at maximum performance and investigates any potential problem area.

·                 Takes corrective action to eliminate problems and improve effectiveness

·                 Records all necessary documentation

·                 Tests product at various stages of processing

·                 Routine sanitation and clean-in-place (CIP) of vessels, valves and process equipment

·                 Follows and enforces HACCP and GMP program requirements

·                 Responsible for general housekeeping and maintenance as required

·                 Works in a team environment and interacts with other department employees

·                 Performs other duties as required

·                 This position requires rotating shift work, which could range from days/evening/weekdays and/or weekends

 

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
·                 Minimum Grade 12 Education.

·                 Good communications, analytical and troubleshooting skills

·                 Highly self-motivated and good self-initiative

·                 Proficiency and dependability in current position.
