As our industry continues to evolve, and we serve more customers around the world, it’s our people who drive our success as a leading global dairy processor. The Intern, laboratory technician will learn and practice the day-to-day work in a Research and Development (R&D) and Technical Services laboratory. The intern will participate in the diagnosis of potential problems in order to help the Canadian plants and will take part in the regular validations performed in the Canadian plants.

 

The Internship Program will begin on May 12th and end August 15th, 2025.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER… 

  • You will contribute to the physico-chemical analysis of products by reference methods, mainly related to the validation of FTIR;
  • Learn and master the Mojonnier method;
  • Work and development: Help refine the method of total phosphorus analysis.

 

YOU ARE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU…

  • Are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Analytical Chemistry or a similar discipline relevant to Food Sciences. (Second or third year undergrad or first year Master students);
  • Are active in extracurricular activities on campus or in the community;
  • Have previous related internship experience (an asset);
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory;
  • Previous experience in food or dairy industry, milk and dairy chemistry;
  • Bilingual, Strong oral and written communication skills (French and English);
  • Master Office suite programs and applications;
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and autonomy;
  • Have strong time management skills: you will manage priorities and multiple projects at a time all while ensuring to meet deadlines.
