As an Intern on the RBC Global Asset Management (GAM) Corporate Communications team, you will support teammates in delivering high-quality, captivating internal communications and employee engagement related activities to help RBC GAM employees stay informed, collaborate and thrive in their careers. Job Description
You will join and support the RBC GAM Corporate Communications team for the summer, and be required to collaborate in a fast-paced environment. Roles and responsibilities will vary but include:
- Supporting teammates in delivering high-quality, captivating internal communications within short timelines
- Writing articles for GAMspace, RBC GAM’s intranet
- Contributing content to internal newsletters
- Planning and/or attending internal events and activities, taking photos and writing summaries
- Completing other communications projects and assignments as required
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- Working towards a Bachelor or Masters degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or other related field
- Strong personal skills and the ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment
- Professional written, editorial and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem solving skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Ability to think critically, creatively and “outside the box”
Nice-to-have
- Knowledge and an understanding of the finance industry
- Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Products and Adobe
- Experience with content management systems and email tools
- Previous experience working at a financial institution
Please note:
In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either:
- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
