Job Summary

Complete a one month rotation through the four departments within the group to gain an in depth understanding of the various aspects of business risk.

Job Description

Cross-border

  • complete initial cross-border assessments by applying requirements of the CB policies.
  • Review weekly and monthly reports to identify non-compliance with policy.
  • Assist with the preparation of submissions, meeting agenda’s and minutes for the HRC Sub-committee.
  • Assist with the completion of other team projects as required

Client Due Diligence

  • Complete due diligence on existing and prospect clients to fully understand a clients source of wealth, and identify red flags to determine if a client is within or outside of our risk appetite.
  • Prepare reports to support completed due diligence.
  • Complete submissions to the High Risk Committee as required

Business Risk and Internal Controls

  • Log attempted and successful frauds by working with DS branches to gather the required information
  • Assist with supporting the branch to ensure the client cared for and all required action is taken.
  • Log privacy requests and work with branches to ensure all required information is gathered.
  • Ensure all required information is gathered and provided in the required time-frame.

Anti-Money Laundering Investigations

  • Assist with AML related investigations of Wealth Management Canada clients by working with branches to gather information

Must-have:

  • Strong personal skills and the ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Good analytical, communication and problem solving skills
  • Highly organized with good attention to detail and very high level of accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to think critically and “outside the box”

Nice-to-have

  • Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Products, including Excel (including using Excel as a tool for financial analysis) Word, PowerPoint, Access

The mandate will also involve working on various projects over the course of the four month period in support of these various areas.

In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either:

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
