Please note: This posting is for a 4-month Fall 2024 Student placement with a start date of September 2024 and end date of December 2024. In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:
- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of December 2024; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2024), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
Please ensure that you meet these eligibility requirements before applying – candidates who apply but are found to be ineligible are not able to be considered.
What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will operate in a dynamic environment and provide professional support to the Global Trade Finance team for a project that is focused on the migration of documents or other stored images and items for trade transactions currently stored in the ‘WDM’ database to Trade 360. You will be a key contributor to enhancing operational efficiencies and improving operator experience, as well as assisting with risk reduction. You will have the opportunity to develop relationships with stakeholders across the team and influence client satisfaction via efficient operations of the unit.
What will you do?
- Develop an efficient operating model for reviewing and migrating electronic documents and files from legacy system to current operating system
- Perform the migration of key documents
- Gather data and information to prepare status summary reports
- Participate in any other various operational projects which will contribute to the efficient operation of the Global Trade Finance team.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Working towards an undergraduate degree with a focus in Business, Technology, Economics, or other related fields
- Strong computer literacy with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel presentation skills
- Ability to use research tools to extract relevant background material for business development and transaction support
- Strong personal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment under time constraints
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity and working independently.
Nice-to-have
- Prior experience in financial services and ability to manage complex concepts
- Knowledge of and interest in Global Trade the investing world
