The Real Estate Branch combines real estate and land development expertise to create integration across a diverse portfolio: we own, lease, and manage the City’s inventory of real property (land, buildings, and facilities). We provide expert real estate services to the corporation and integrate multiple corporate interests so that Council can achieve its vision. The Property Management Student role supports property management with property services and leasing for a variety of properties including Utility, Garden and Vacant Lots. You may be required to visit various property sites as part of your role. This role will expand your knowledge about real estate, engaging the public and providing property solutions. Key Responsibilities include:
- Support the management of lease and license agreements
- Participate and coordinate daily property activity, including speaking to the public
- Support the unit in the preparation of accurate financial reports for lease and property, preparing and reconciling vendor charges, purchase orders, and maintenance orders
- Prepare and review necessary data and documentation for the analysis of property
- Obtain estimates for various jobs and monitor contract work
- Participate in property visits to audit properties to ensure accuracy of the property system
- Additional related duties as required
Qualifications
- Current enrollment full-time at a post-secondary institution, in a business, property management, real estate or related work experience degree program
- Experience using Google Workspace applications
Assets
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence (or provincial equivalent) is considered an asset. May be required to arrange own transportation to be reimbursed in accordance with City of Edmonton policy. This may require business auto insurance

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Salary: $21.545 – $25.135 (Hourly)
