Co-operators is looking for 3 co-op students in the Claims and Sales team in Laval, Quebec. This is approximately a 3-month contract position for Summer 2024.

 

How you will create impact:

Insurance internship – Claims adjuster (2 positions available)

  • Handle administrative tasks related to day-to-day operations (rental follow-up, policy or appraisal reports, etc.).
  • Handle new claims and provide effective guidance to customers.
  • Follow up with customers (draft and send next steps and/or file closure letters).
  • Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with our service and quality standards.

Insurance internship – Sales Liaison Person (1 position available)

  • Make and send quotes to potential customers.
  • Make outbound calls to interact with our customers and participate in call listening to learn about the agent’s business.
  • Use and become familiar with the company’s computer systems (Claim Center).
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in line with our service and quality standards.

To join our team:

  • You are enrolled as a student in the following Cegep programs: Technique de services financiers et d ’assurances or AEC en assurance de dommages.
  • You are a team player and can adapt to a dynamic environment.
  • You have good computer skills (Microsoft Office suite).
  • Experience working in a contact center and in-depth knowledge of customer service principles are an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of insurance and claims, insurance forms, vehicle repair processes and provincial legislation and regulations is an asset.
  • French is required, English is an asset.
