By joining our team, you’ll have the opportunity to help with the various stages of high-, medium- and low-voltage project execution, from the proposal, study analysis of industrial power systems, detailed engineering and equipment specification to site surveys, site monitoring and equipment commissioning.

  • Join a team of electrical engineers and experts who’ll ensure you receive quality supervision.
  • Design power systems for a variety of major detailed engineering projects for low- to high-voltage grids, produce engineering deliverables such as electrical plans and diagrams, and participate in protective relay programming.
  • Draft technical specifications, calculation notes, estimates and study reports.
  • Coordinate electrical engineering with other disciplines to ensure quality design.
  • Participate in various system studies such as power flow, harmonics and transients.
  • Participate in protection and arc flash studies.
  • Help with various project management tasks, including schedule and cost monitoring.
  • Perform site surveys and site monitoring during the construction phase.
  • Participate in pre-operational verifications and commissioning of electrical equipment.
  • Participate in modernizing existing power grid protection systems to protect individuals and equipment in case of failure.
  • Propose solutions to mitigate various engineering issues and provide feedback on those proposed by your colleagues.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • Undergraduate student in Electrical Engineering
  • Basic knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
  • Ability to read plans and diagrams
  • Available to stay on site
  • Asset: student registered with the Institut en génie de l’énergie électrique (IGEE)
  • Asset: bilingual (English and French)
