PwC Canada Scholarship and Mentorship Program

As part of our efforts to create a more diverse and inclusive workplace, we’re excited to offer our PwC Canada Scholarship and Mentorship Program.
The PwC Canada Scholarship and Mentorship program will provide financial support to post-secondary students who are Black, studying in accounting,and demonstrate our five PwC Professional attributes.
- Up to ten (10) scholarships available
- Each scholarship is for C$5,000
- Scholarship recipients will be paired with a professional from PwC Canada who’ll provide mentorship and coaching for one year
- Scholarship recipients will receive an offer of paid employment at PwC Canada (acceptance of position is optional and will not impact receipt of scholarship) in Assurance or Tax
- Job opportunities are available across Canada for Summer/Co-op available to start January, May or September 2025
Applicants must be:
- Black
- Studying accounting
- Pursuing Canadian CPA designation
- Enrolled in post-secondary education at a Canadian accredited institution (part-time or full-time)
- Graduating December 2025 or later

What you’ll create and do:
As part of the PwC Scholarship and Mentorship Program you’ll also have the opportunity to kickstart your future with an optional offer of employment to a role within our CPA Lines of Service (acceptance of position is optional and won’t impact receipt of scholarship). See below for some of the available options:
ASSURANCE – You’ll work closely with public and private companies to help them solve complex business issues through reliable financial reporting.
TAX – You’ll work across many areas of tax to broaden your consulting skills and deepen your theoretical knowledge.
RISK ASSURANCES SERVICES – You’ll help clients navigate today’s complex business environment and manage the unknowns that can set them off course. Our clients need to know how to secure the data they hold. We help them achieve this confidence.

What you’ll bring to this role:
- Enrolled in or completed post-secondary education and pursuing the Canadian CPA designation
- An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
- A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate new ideas
- Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills; an ability to think broadly and to ask questions about data, facts and other information to deliver quality to our clients
- Share and collaborate effectively with others, building relationships which are genuine and rooted in trust
- Ability to easily adapt and prioritize, demonstrating project management skills to handle changing priorities
- Examples of alignment with PwC Values: Acting with Integrity, Working Together, Care, Reimagine the Possible and Make a Difference
- You’ll be comfortable traveling to cities across Canada (when deemed safe to do so by applicable public health or regulatory authorities and PwC)
- This role requires that you are legally entitled to work for PwC in Canada for the intended duration of the offer/contract.
- We’d love it even more if you’re bilingual in English and French, however this isn’t a requirement.
- For Ottawa: Valid Federal Government security clearance or ability to obtain one
