Under the direction of the Executive General Manager – Freight Services, the Freight Coordinator’s position is to support the freight operations teams by way of monitoring the daily load activities through managing relationships with carriers, customers, suppliers, and vendors ensuring that goods are picked up and delivered on time.
Receiving order requests at various stages and processing to complete the service offering.
Secure freight by calculating and quoting competitive rates to the customer.
~ Facilitate freight movement through use of one-shot carrier negotiations and/or use of existing carrier rate contracts, skills related to using various freight matching web tools including Link Logistics.
~ Identify and recommend policies to maximize revenues and minimize operational costs.
~ Instrumental in team based strategic business planning, working with freight team and management to achieve business development goals.
~ Negotiate Rail intermodal, FTL and LTL buy rates with carriers.
~ Negotiate and Quote Rail intermodal, FTL and LTL rates to the clients.
~ Monitoring a variety of shipments, ensuring they meet obligations of movement.
~ Confirmation of charges on all applicable Rail, Road FTL and LTL carrier shipments.
~ Investigate and process freight claims as required.

In your career you have been a solid, consistent performer. You have 2 or more years of experience in Freight Coordination.
You have direct experience in Freight Brokerage business, Ocean & Air Forwarding
You will stand out if you already understand Freight Management specifically.
You have very strong client-focused service skills, and you are also driven to help develop new business.

Your ability to independently manage a number of projects at the same time, and to react and adjust to change with ease will make you perfect for this job.
You Should Know This About the Job

You will report directly to the Manager, LTL Freight & Pricing of the Freight Services Group and have their full support.
As a member of the Freight Brokerage Team, you will be well-compensated. Along with your salary, you will have a Performance Incentive component.
